Yes! I'm a Woman!

Yes! I’m a Woman!
Can’t you see?
Some have tried to
Condemn, assault, and
Violate me
Yes! I’m a Woman!
And I wear it well
Every curve, line, and sway
Of my body has a story
To tell

Yes! I’m a Woman!
Phenomenally
Able to withstand your taunts
Abuses, blind hatred
And jealousy
My Talents are many
As any Woman’s, by far
I’m that intangible-touchable
That beaming and
Wondrous star

So, Yes! I’m a Woman
As you can clearly see
Please stand back and allow
A few more minutes while I
Celebrate the Woman in me
Blessed with the Power to heal
With my own two hands
Equal in strength, ability
and intellect
To any man

Yes! I’m a Woman
Isn’t it grand?
Independent, intelligent
Delectable and high
In demand
All of this is True
As any truth can be
For there is no greater gift
Than to be a Woman
No greater gift, indeed

I Love Being Black

My I LOVE being black. I love being a black woman. My ass, my lips, my nose, my hair, everything about being black I love. I will deal with the racism, the stereotypes the history and pain. The struggles of being black in America toady. I will do it all with my head held high. I am a Nubian Queen a true woman of this earth. I will not wear contacts to lighten my eyes or brighten my hair with dyes so that I fit into the Europeanized standard of beauty, I will not become ass-less so that I am considered fine, by model critics, I refuse to get lypo on my thick thighs so that I can wear those short ass shorts that were made for white woman b/c my ass is too plump and juicy to be concealed my the minute amount of fabric!
DAMN I love being black! No matter what negative and deceiving stereotypes and ideas that media displays about black people, no matter what ignorant mind set others have about black people I am today devoting my life to changing these things. I can no longer turn my back on what is so obviously evident, that us Black Americans are still enslaved by a system that does not chain our wrists but rather our minds. It does not whip our backs but rather beats our true culture from within in us. I today vow to give all the knowledge that over the years I have been soaking up. I have sat back and watched my brother fall prey to what the TV tells him is beautiful, I have let my self fall prey to letting things go that I should have spoken up for. But today I say, NO MORE!! I will teach my children, I will teach my man, and I will teach my friends all that I can. I will give my all and speak up about it.

Peace

Any day of the week I'd rather be at peace with myself than to worry about everyone else. When you have a peaceful mind, your surroundings become more peaceful and your heart becomes at ease with the world. Worry doesn't tempt you and stress is out the door, cause God is your surrounding and you have no need for anything more!
