The Misfit Series!!

1 Peter 2:1-12 (NIV)
We don't change to be the same but we change to be different.
People don't like me because they don't KNOW me and the people that do know me DON'T understand me!!
God didn't call me to fit in but He called me to stand out!
Being different often causes you to be MISunderstood!
In order to be unique you need to rid yourself of 5 things. 1. Malice: desire to inflict injury, harm, or suffering on another, either because of a hostile impulse or out of deep-seated meanness. 2. Deceit: the act or practice of deceiving; concealment or distortion of the truth for the purpose of misleading; duplicity; fraud; cheating. (Liars) 3. Hypocrisy: a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess. (You CAN'T be YOU if the YOU that you are trying to be is NOT really who YOU are!! #thinkaboutit) 4. Envy: a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, possessions, etc. (Many times people don't like you because they want what you have!) Be careful about being envious of what other people have because you don't know what they went though to get what they have!! and 5. Slander: a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report. (Some people feel better about themselves when they can show that they are better than someone else.)
You PULL in what you PUT out!! If you are always negative/hopeless/spiteful/hating etc.. you will ALWAYS have negative/hopeless/spiteful etc.. outcomes & people hating you! So we must be mindful of what we think, speak, and company we keep! Always crave the tools and resources that God has provided for you!
It's easier to ask for FORGIVENESS than PERMISSION!!! We are often rejected by man but chosen by God! So last but not least BE LIKE GOD BUT THOUGH YOU!! Lesson of the day!!!
